The
Orleans United Methodist
Church is known as the "Church at the
Crossroads". It is our
sincere hope that this website will inspire you to visit us whether you are traveling, vacationing
or new to the community. If you live "away", we hope that you will visit
our website often as this is a living site that will be updated on a regular basis. Let us know what you
think and how we can pray for you. We ask you to pray for us as well. Above all, keep the
Faith.
OUR
MISSION STATEMENT
"On our
journeys with Christ, we reach out from the crossroads to our
world, our
community and our congregation through worship,
witness and
service to all generations".
STATEMENT OF
WELCOME
The Orleans United Methodist Church celebrates our congregation's
diversity of ethnicity, race, economic circumstance, age, sexual orientation, family, gender, gifts and
abilities. In accordance with Christ's example, we welcome the full inclusion of all people into the life and
ministries of the church.
We are all in
different places on our spirit journey, and in order to grow, we need to give each other the freedom to be
ourselves. We recognize that attitudes and acts of injustice, discrimination
and violence diminish the gospel of Jesus Christ. We strive
to deepen our faith, to sustain and expand our fellowship and outreach, and to
continue to advocate for justice for all.
